The City of Torrance is a thriving hub of economic opportunities and a globally recognized tourist destination. As the Heart of the South Bay, Torrance always looks to the future, fostering international partnerships and expanding business ventures. This brochure highlights our strong and growing commitment to global collaborations. In 2023, we strengthened our ties by signing Friendship City Agreements with Tainan and Changhua in Taiwan, as well as Hwaseong in South Korea. In 2024, we extended these efforts by establishing additional Friendship City agreements with Bizen and Oshu, Japan—further enhancing cultural connections, promoting economic development, and boosting tourism between our cities.
