As a result of legislation passed last spring, Congresswoman Waters’ district (CA-43) received $1 billion in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, according to data provided by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Despite this federal assistance, the ongoing pandemic and COVID-19 social distancing restrictions have made it increasingly difficult for small businesses to survive.

In light of these challenges, Congresswoman Maxine Waters will host a webinar for small business owners in the South Bay who may need assistance understanding the range of federal programs available under emergency legislation passed this year to help businesses struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
