In response to the devastating effects that COVID-19 is having on the local economy, the County of Los Angeles and the City of Los Angeles, in partnership with institutional and corporate philanthropy, have come together to create the LA Regional COVID-19 Recovery Fund.
The regional fund will offer loan and grant resources to micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits.
The Fund will deploy $3 million in grants available at $5,000 for micro-entrepreneurs and $15,000 for small businesses and non-profits over the course of 4 months. Applications for the first round of funding open on July 6, 2020.
The first application period will end July 10, with more application periods possible after that. Interested businesses should re-apply if they are not selected in the first round of funding.
The Fund will deploy flexible loans and micro-loans to micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits across the LA region in Fall 2020.
The LA Regional COVID-19 Recovery Fund partners with community organizations to provide free coaching and one-on-one technical assistance (TA) to all applicants seeking support before, during, and after grant and loan submission.
More information is available on the LA Regional Covid Fund website or by calling (833) 238-4450.
