TORRANCE, Calif., May 10, 2025 – The City of Torrance is proud to present the 63rd Annual Armed Forces Day Parade & Celebration, taking place May 16-18, 2025. This distinguished three-day tribute honors the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. This year, the City is especially honored to recognize the United States Army as the featured service branch, commemorating its historic 250th birthday with a weekend full of patriotic festivities, interactive military displays, and the highly anticipated parade.
MEDIA ACCESS & INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES
Credentialed media are invited to take advantage of exclusive access throughout the weekend, including early entry to military displays, one-on-one interviews with service members, and opportunities to connect with visiting dignitaries and event organizers.
A highlight not to be missed - the live Black Hawk helicopter landing on Friday, May 16 at 5:00 a.m. Media will receive priority positioning to capture this powerful moment as the helicopter lands at the military exhibit site. Advance coordination and early arrival are required.

- The 4th Infantry Division Band will perform at the James Armstrong Theatre

- 5K for Freedom Walk/Run - Saturday, May 17 @ 8:00 a.m.

- 63rd Annual Armed Forces Day Parade - Saturday, May 17 @ 1:30 p.m
- A patriotic grand procession featuring active-duty military units, marching bands, ROTC groups, historic military vehicles, and surprise flyovers
- Local dignitaries and elected officials will join in honoring the Armed Forces, alongside this year’s spotlighted branch, the United States Army celebrating their 250th birthday
